Life has to end, but love does not. It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Ray who passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at the age of 69.
Ray is forever remembered by his devoted wife Debbie, sons Daniel and Cory, step-son Tony (Jane) and step-daughter Brigette (Brent) and his nine grandchildren. He will also be missed by his brothers Dan (Karen), Mark (Catharine), Glenn (Brenda) and sisters Chris (Gary) Jennifer (Eric). Left to cherish his memory are his many in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends.
Those who knew Ray remember his uncanny ability to fix anything, his passion for restoring old vehicle (lastly his 1948 International), his stories and jokes, the ability to talk about anything to anyone and for the great friend he was. He loved his country life and the beautiful house he and Debbie built together. He enjoyed the many trips he took with his wife, fishing with his brothers and hanging out with his many friends.
Respecting Ray’s wishes no funeral service will be held and a cremation has taken place. A private memorial will be held at a later date. Memorial donations in memory of Ray may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute or the charity of your choice. To sign the book of condolences, visit www.serenity.ca.
