My life has held adventure

A few snags along the way

But filled with special memories

That in our hearts will stay.

Life is what you make it

As most of us have learned

So fill each day with meaning

Enjoy the time you’ve earned.

I’ve had so many good times

With my children and my friends,

These are the things I cherish

When we say, “Remember when..”

Each year has been a chapter

In the amazing book of life

And now it’s time for me to rest,

Gone is all the strife.

So celebrate a life well lived

Don’t grieve forever more,

Remember I am in your hearts,

Till you reach your golden shore.

My life on earth is over

But others must go on

With no regrets I leave my love

To greet each break of dawn.

Now as the sun sets in the west

And evening darkens the sky

I take my final journey

And bid a fond goodbye.

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Vera Jeanette Raugust at Thorsby, AB at the age of 82 years.

Vera will be lovingly remembered by her children Cindy (Ron), Shelly, Tracy (Karen) and Jody (Cheryl); grandchildren Melissa (Ryan), Matthew, Michael, Laura, Brett (Christina), Riley and Jillian; great-grandchildren Payton, Megan, Cache, Steele, Jude and Ivy, as well as numerous relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, or the University of Alberta Neurosciences Intensive Care Unit.
