1948 – 2019
It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Randy Robert Knapp at Leduc Hospital at the age of 71 years.
Randy will be lovingly remembered by his wife Darlene of 51 years; daughters, Lynn (Craig) and Tracy (Warren); grandchildren, Katlyn, Mitchell, Alyssa and Rylan. He will also be deeply missed by his siblings Sharlene (Jim), Jim (Lori), Bill (Doreen), Steve (Roxanne), Joe, Tom and Helen; sisters-in-law, Mae (Floyd), Mollie (Gordon); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, many friends and co-workers.
Randy was predeceased by his mother, Zelma Buch; brother, George Knapp; niece, Jamie Dwyer; nephews, Devon Dwyer, Dwight Speechley and Taarak Kjorsvik-Osterhout; sister-in-law, Debbie Knapp and niece-in-law, Pat Kjorsvik.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, November 28, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Daystar Church 3610 C.W.Gaetz Rd, Leduc, AB.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, #144, 5241 Calgary Trail N.W. Edmonton, AB T6H 5G8.
Randy spent many winters in Texas and summers at Tween Lakes Resort in BC. He loved spending time with family and friends, golfing, camping, boating and enjoyed countless hours with his grandchildren.
The family wishes to express thanks to the many friends and neighbours for the flowers, food, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and sympathy cards, with a special thanks to the Oil Wives Club of Leduc for the luncheon. Also, a sincere thank you to the Leduc Paramedics, Leduc Fire Department and Leduc Community Hospital. The family is also grateful to Pastor Ed Allen and Serenity Funeral Service for their kind and thoughtful services.

I put my glasses on to see better but the tears keep making it hard to see. We still can’t believe of his passing, he meant so much to our family! He was certainly a great guy and we enjoyed being around him whenever we could be. We always enjoyed hanging out at the lake and were always on the same page. He was always there to lend a helping hand or words of advice. He was well respected and such a great guy. You will always be remembered buddy and never forgot. We will miss you!
