Ralph Eugene Styner of Edmonton passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2017, at the age of 84 years. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife Edith Styner; six children, Ellery (Marie), Byron (Barb), Charlene (Andy), Eric (Tessa), Brenda (Pierre), Joanne (Rod); ten grandchildren, Travis (Breanne), Stephanie, Mandy (Drew), Lindsay, Christina (Mike), Curtis, Maxwell, Matthew, Cassie and Amanda; three great grandchildren, Rydin, Masyn and Oaklyn; one sister Edy Elliotte, and one brother Roy (Nora) Styner. He was predeceased by his parents, Louis and Blanche Styner; four brothers, Harold, Richard, Donald and Robert; six sisters, Dorothy, Violia, Alice, Jean, Lucille and Shirley. Ralph was born on January 11, 1933 in Rabbit Lake, Saskatchewan.
He met Edith Preitz the love of his life and didn’t waste time; they married on October 25, 1958 in Minburn Alberta and started their family. Ralph was a Pipe Inspector for many years, he also hobby farmed and owned a couple businesses. Ralph enjoyed riding horses and even had the support of friends to ride after surviving a stroke many years ago. He was a very social man and had the gift of gab and loved to talk on the phone for many hours with family and friends.
A memorial service will be held in the Chapel at the Rutherford Heights Retirement Residence (949 Rutherford Rd, Edmonton, AB) on Saturday January 28, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with Al Stoski (a dear friend of Joanne & Rod) officiating.
