On Saturday, September 17, 2022, our family lost a wonderful, kind, generous man, Tom Quigley.
Survived by his children, Christina, Curtis, and Trevor (Gail), grandchildren Krista (Tay), Kira (Kevin), Kelsey (Jonathon), Quinn (Dave) and Erin, great grandchildren Olivia, Malia, Anakin, and baby on the way. Also survived by his sisters Jeanette and Millie (Tim), sisters-in-law Wendy (Gordie, deceased), Sandra (Rene, deceased) and numerous nieces and nephews. Also mourning Tom is his best friend, Marie MacDonald. Tom was predeceased by his wife, Yvonne.
Tom was a proud Nova Scotian, but an even prouder Albertan. After moving to Edmonton in 1955, he met Yvonne on a blind date and was smitten. They married soon after and settled in Ottewell, where they raised their family. After Mom’s death, Dad moved to Rosedale on the Park, where he met Marie. Much to our delight, they developed a deep and lasting friendship.
There will be no service as per Tom’s wishes. His final resting place will be beside Yvonne in the Evergreen Memorial Garden.
Dad was a long-time volunteer at the Edmonton Food Bank and asked that any donations be directed there.
Thank you to the wonderful park Rosedale staff and the 6Y staff at The General for all their kindness and care.
Tom was a wonderful father, friend and neighbor and he will be greatly missed.
