Darryl (D) Ernest Peters, 70 – born October 24, 1950, in Regina, SK – passed away peacefully in his home with family by his side on March 29, 2021.
His memory is kept alive in the hearts of his loving wife Rita, daughters Sarra-Lynn and Rebecca, his brother Lynn (Marg), sister JoAnne (Phil), nephews Kevin (Erin), Andrew, Thomas, and Jordan, along with many more close family members and friends. He is predeceased by his mother Ernestine (Vicky), father Douglas, and beloved nephew Neil.
Darryl took the traveler’s career of bus driving: first with Greyhound, then as his family settled he continued to roam with ETS. He retired at age 65 and remained a strong union supporter. The only days he wasn’t cheering for the Green and White (Roughrider fans know) he was rooting for the Oilers on the ice. He shared his passion for science fiction, history, travel, sports, music, and literature with his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, we would like to help our family friend Shayla Wishloff, who is battling Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer, get the life saving treatment she needs, please donate at https://gofund.me/983b4c9e.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. In the meantime, we encourage loved ones and friends to toast Darryl with Disaronno or a nice Pinot Noir to a soundtrack of Janis Joplin or The Eagles.
