PESKLEVIS, (Dach) Lorretta Jane Lorraine

On May 15, 2022, Mrs. Lorretta Lorraine Pesklevis of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta (formerly of Waskatenau, AB) passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 74 years with her family by her side after her battle with cancer. Lorretta was born on May 29, 1947 in Lamont, AB.
Lorretta married Ted Pesklevis on October 1, 1966. They moved to their acreage near Waskatenau, AB in 1979 where they raised their three children. Lorretta retired in May 2021 from working many years at the Bar-V-Nook Seniors Lodge in Smoky Lake, AB where she became close friends with many of the residents and co-workers. In June 2021, Lorretta moved to Fort Saskatchewan, AB.

Lorretta is survived by her children, Shelley (Rudy) Grandish, Sandi Pesklevis and Lyle Pesklevis; one grandson, Mitchell (Alicia) Banks and two great-granddaughters, Nevaeh and Victoria; brother, Allan (Iris) Dach; sister Florence (Lawrence) Tallas; brother, Bob Dach; sister-in-law, Evelyn Dach; sister-in-law, Gloria Strauss; sister-in-law, Sharon Dach; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her husband, Ted; father, Stanley Dach; mother, Jean Gauchier and husband Bob Gauchier; brother, Jerry Dach; brother, Marvin Dach.

Divine Liturgy Friday, May 20 at 11:00 am at Exaltation of the Holy Cross Ukrainian Catholic Church, Skaro, AB. Interment in Church Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Butts and staff of the Cross Cancer Institute, Dr. Linda Carter of Fort Saskatchewan, AB, Shelly Harris and the staff of Fort Saskatchewan Home Care for their compassionate care of our mom.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Lorretta Lorraine Pesklevis’s honour may be made directly to the Exaltation of the Holy Cross Ukrainian Catholic Church, Box 327, Bruderheim AB T0B 0S0.
