Don went home to the arms of his Lord on March 28, 2020 after succumbing to cardiac failure at the age of 88. He is survived by son Jim, daughter Marie (Tom) and grandchildren Christina (Nick), Lisa (Zach) and Graham (Katie). He was predeceased by his loving wife Jean in 2013, as well as his three brothers.
Although suffering through numerous physical trials over his last many years, Don’s faith, attitude and determination to make the most of every day was an example to all who knew him. He often said, “God’s given me another day. There must be a reason for it”.
Due to the current restrictions on public gatherings, a private interment ceremony will be held at the Nashville Cemetery southeast of Wetaskiwin. A Memorial service will be held at a future date once the emergency measures from the pandemic are over.
