Pauline Ann (Tillie) Davies

May 1, 1927 – April 22, 2015
It is with unbearable sadness that we announce the passing of Pauline (Tillie) Davies in Lacombe on April 22, 2015 at the age of 87. Loved and treasured by everyone who knew her, she was a shining example to us all. She saw the good in everyone and she was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She loved to sing, visit with her friends and mostly, spend time with her family. She & Dad grew the best gardens and luckily for us, they were always happy to share. And Moms’ yorkshire pudding was legendary.
Dads’ sister, Mary Spencer (Davies) introduced Mom to Dad . That was the beginning of a wonderful, 64 year long, love story. She has gone to dance with Dad again.
Tillie will always be remembered and loved by her son Jackson (Linda) Davies; her daughters Sharon (Larry) Towers and Shawn (Michael) Gisi; as well as her grandchildren Christopher & Michaela, Karey-Laine & James, and Jack; and her great-grandchildren Madison and Jacob. She also leaves her sister Joan Graves, many nieces and nephews and numerous wonderful friends. Tillie was predeceased by her loving husband John, her brothers Pete and Ron, her sister Mollie and her parents Frank & Florence Tayles.
We would like to thank Pam Reynolds & her staff at Peace Hills Lodge as well as Tamara McPherson & her staff at Sunrise Village. You both made a home for Mom and we are so grateful for the love and care you showed her. We would also like to express our thanks to Dr. Argals who always treated Mom with respect and affection and the staff at Wetaskiwin and Lacombe Hospitals who looked after Mom. The family would especially like to thank Moms’ dear friend Caroline Pearson for her dedication to Mom these last few years – you are truly a blessing. Also, thanks to Moms’ friends Barb Lingley & Nona Norton, her sister Joan and Mom’s nieces Karen Kimmell and Marilyn Anderson for the time they spent helping and being with Mom when we couldn’t. Thank you to Joey at P.H. Lodge – you were a fairly new friend for Mom, but a wonderful one. Our appreciation, as well, to Tracy at Serenity.
Cremation has taken place and per Moms’ wishes, no formal service will be held at this time.
No flowers please. If desired, a donation can be made in Moms’ memory to the Wetaskiwin Health Foundation, 6910 – 47 St. Wetaskiwin, T9A 3N3.
