LAWRENCE, Pat “Valerie”
It is with a heavy heart and much love that we celebrate the life of our wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Pat “Valerie” Lawrence, who returned to the loving arms of God on April 6, 2016 at the age of 77.
She will forever be in the hearts of her loving husband, Brian; daughter, Joanne Hastie; “adopted” son, Alan; and their children Emma, Mya and Aiden. As well as her son, David; “adopted” daughter, Theresa; children Caitlin, April and Wade; along with her beloved sister Maureen.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday April 16, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Anglican Church, 4 Raven Drive, Sherwood Park with the Reverend Stephen London officiating.
Our family was deeply touched and will be forever grateful to the many people who showed tremendous compassion, love and care to Pat during her illness. To Dr. Stansberry, Dr. Dusang, Dr. Sarah, the many home care staff members, and the incredible group of professionals on Unit 43 of the Grey Nuns Hospital, you know who you are. You will never be forgotten!
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Pat’s honour may be made directly to St. Thomas Anglican Church.

It was a wonderful service to remember ‘Aunty Pat’. Thinking of you all and praying that you find peace knowing she is with the Lord. Love Barb

I worked with Pat in Home Care.
So very sorry for your loss. She was a wonderful person, caring. Pat adored her family and talked often of them and her grandchildren. We shared many stories and her wonderful sense of humour! I love her British “tea” we shared. I will sincerely miss her.Allyson Wanner
Pat was a very giving and caring person. I will truly miss having our lunches. She was a friend to my mom when they worked together at Co-op and after both had left. My family and I really will miss her kindness and her great sense of humor.
