It is with great sadness and much love that our family announces the passing of my greatest love of 59 years, Katherine was my wife, our mother and grandmother.
Katherine was predeceased by her parents, Steve and Anne Fediow, our baby son Richard, son Wayne, brother Peter, his wife Mary, and her brother Steven.
She will lovingly be remembered by her husband Marvin, son Gary (Cathy), daughter Michelle, grandchildren; Kyle, Kaitlyn, Carleen and Nichole, sister-in-law Elizabeth and many nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and many more too numerous to mention.
Katherine would always go out of her way to help family and friends. She graduated from Andrew High School, moved to Edmonton and started her career in the banking business for 18 years, then worked for Alberta Transportation in the finance department. After retiring, she joined in our own business as office manager until we sold the business in 2000. We were married in June 1963 and had 3 sons. Katherine always worked even after the children were born because she didn’t want to be poor.
A memorial service will be held for Katherine at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Fort Saskatchewan on Friday November 18, 2022, at 11:00 am.
Cremation has taken place and interment of Cremated Remains will take place at another time.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Dr Linda Carter and Shelly Harris for the exceptional care from the Fort Saskatchewan Homecare team as well as Dr. Gilbert and the amazing staff at Rivercrest Hospice for their kindness, love support and care shown to Katherine during her time there.
