Sorry to learn my old friend George passed away so far from home. We grew up toghether on The Front, Bell Island, attended the Beach ElementarySchool and St. Boniface RHS. After High School, we all scattered for places across Canada as work for young people was non-existent on Bell Island at that time. George came from a wonderful family, his father wa a renouned carpenter and his mother a homemaker. George was always there for a game of hockey or soccer or any of the many other activities we were all involved in growing up.
Wonderfull person from a wonderful family.
Condolences to his family from the Squires family
