Our mother was born Norma Ellen Prosser on November 24, 1922. She married Trevor Jones on June 3, 1944 in Calgary; they lived in various cities including Montreal, Winnipeg and Calgary before settling in Edmonton. Norma was a music lover, pianist and singer and was a member of the Edmonton Opera Chorus for many years. She also worked as a secretary for a large engineering firm and sold real estate. She encouraged all her children to pursue all their passions in life and was a constant source of help in their career development.
Norma was predeceased by her husband Trevor, her two daughters Diane and Donna and her sister Carol.
She is survived by her sons David (Andrea) and Brian (Sheila), sons-in-law Richard and Paul, and grandchildren Meghan, Allison and Kevin, Larry, Dean, Tom and Ian, Jacqueline and Danielle. Great grandchildren include Abigail, Norah, Theodore, Graeham, Rebecca, Madison, Teagan, Devon, Henry, Ida and Jacob.
Our mother lived her life with purpose and grace and we would like to thank the staff of 7Y for their loving care in her last years in extended care at the General Hospital.
