Norm Girard

On Thursday, March 7, 2019, at the age of 75, Norm was taken from us suddenly and unexpectedly. He will be sadly missed and forever loved by his wife Elizabeth of 42 years, sons Ryan (Melissa), and Darren (Teryn), and extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his father Francis and mother Julie. Our thanks to the first responders and emergency staff at the Misericordia Hospital for their efforts to keep Norm with us. As per Norm’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Because of his love of all animals, especially dogs, donations may be made to Zoe’s Animal Rescue (www.zoesanimalrescue.org).

My deepest condolences go out to Elizabeth, Ryan, Darren and extended family. Norm was such a wonderful human being. He was a long-time hockey coach of mine, from Atom to Peewee, and I have so many fond memories of those days that I’m so thankful for. I’ll always remember his favourite saying: “burn!” Norm, your passing is truly a double-triple burn. You touched so many people’s lives and will truly be missed.
