Gordon Richard Nolte, much loved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away on September 14, 2020 at the age of 90 in Leduc, AB.
Born in Lang, SK, on August 26, 1930 he was the eldest of three siblings; sister Joyce (Blair Dunsmore – deceased) and brother Ken, deceased on September 10, 2020 (Kelly).
Gordon adored his girls; his loving wife, Agnes, and daughters, Barbara of Edmonton, AB and Ange (Bill Wagstaff) of Leduc, AB. Gordon was a good man, with a big heart and the bearer of even bigger hugs. Agnes and his two girls were the center of his universe, which expanded to include four grandchildren: Kris (Meagan), Kyle, Kara (Jon), and Alysha (Kyle); and expanded further to include seven great-grandchildren: Noah (7), Alexis (5), Logan (4), Naudia (4), Braxton (2), Lily (7 months), and Caleb (2 months). He also has numerous in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
Gordon was a sterling role model and seeing these children brought an adoring smile to his face.
Gordon graduated third in his class with a diploma in Office Machine Mechanics from NAIT in 1968. The family then moved to Cranbrook, BC, where they lived for 17 years. He was a jack-of-all-trades and was ever ready to assist when anything needed fixing. He will be deeply missed by family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that you contribute to the charity of your choice.
