Nola Colleen Normand

With deepest regrets we announce the passing of Nola Normand, beloved wife, mother & friend. A lifelong resident of Bruderheim, Nola was an active member of her community who always had the best interests of her family and friends in her heart.

Nola succumbed to leukemia on January 11, 2020 at the Rivercrest Hospice in Fort Saskatchewan. She had chosen to stop the ineffective treatments and begin a new journey with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Nola is survived by her loving husband Len, daughter, Jill (Thure) Anderson and her son Bradley (Laura). Remembered by her mother Laura Kupsch, sister, Rhonda Kupsch, sister in law, Suzie Normand and brother in law, Don Nykolyszyn along with numerous relatives and friends. She will be missed by her furry friends, Bailey & Rufus. Nola was predeceased by her father Ben Kupsch and sister in law, Louise Nykolyszyn.

The family wants to thank all the doctors, nurses and care givers who have fought alongside Nola. Thank you to everyone who visited Nola or who had her in their prayers.

In lieu of the flowers, the family asks for donations in Nola’s name to be sent to: The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada, 804-2 Lansing Square, Toronto, ON, M2J 4P8.

A celebration of life will be held at the Bruderheim Community Hall on January 18, 2020 at 3 PM. We ask for people to come and share memories of Nola with her family.
