It is with great sadness the family of Nancy Jean Everett announces her passing after a struggle with cancer, on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at the age of 74.
Nancy was predeceased by her parents James and Winnifred Brady and her brother William John of Jasper, Alberta.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years George; son Tim; daughter Bonnie; granddaughter Michelle; siblings: Mary Moskaluk, James Jr. (Yvette) Brady, Margaret (Bruce) Cole, Robert (Carol) Brady and Gary (Bobbi) Brady all of Edmonton, Alan (Gloria) Brady of Jasper, AB and Betty Rushton of Truro, NS, as well as an aunt, uncles, numerous nieces and nephews.
Nancy was born in Jasper on June 5, 1942 and had many great memories of growing up there and loved returning for visits when she was able. She was an avid reader and was known to finish a book in one sitting. She loved to talk and chat about what was going on in people’s lives and the world. She was a generous person, always remembering birthdays and anniversaries and loved to send cards and acknowledgements. She will be remembered for her wonderful laugh, smile, strength of character and giving spirit.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, HCA’s and staff of 5D2, U of A Hospital for their care and compassion. In keeping with the wishes of Nancy there will be no funeral service. “Gone but never forgotten, we will carry your memory in our hearts”
