MOSESON, Helen Olive Esther

MOSESON, Helen Olive Esther

1920 ~ 2021

It is with wonderful memories of a life well lived that we announce the passing of our mother, Helen Moseson, who peacefully died in her sleep on August 18, 2021, at the age of 101.

She was born in 1920 in Minnedosa, MB. At 17, she moved with her family to Wetaskiwin and soon after met and married Gordon Moseson in 1942. They settled in Malmo community where they farmed and raised their children.

Helen was warm, generous, and hospitable. She was a gifted artist in painting, sewing, knitting and porcelain dolls and loved gardening, travelling, and parties. Above all, her faith in God was unwavering.

She is survived by her 5 children and their spouses, Linda (Peter) Enns, Beth Rice, Deborah (Jorgen) Gustavsson, Trudy (Wayne) Waterworth, and Randall; her fifteen grandchildren; and thirty-four great-grandchildren; all of whose lives have been enriched beyond measure for being part of her family.

The family would like to thank the staff of The Good Shepherd nursing home for the excellent care they have provided over the years.

A Celebration of life will take place on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Malmo Mission Covenant Church (Malmo is located on the corner of Secondary Highway 822 and Township Road 422), and live streamed at the same time for those who would like to watch the service online at Reception will follow.

In lieu of flowers, friends may wish to donate to the Covenant Bay Bible Camp (15022 Poplar Bay, Westerose, AB T0C 2V0).

Dear Moseson Family,
My sincere sympathy to you all. It was my pleasure to have known your lovely Mother, over many years of visiting her dear friend, Evodia, at the GSH.
We would visit at coffee, at Hymn Sing, and in each of their rooms.
Sending prayers for support, comfort and Peace.
Warmest regards,
Anita Cradock

Was indeed a beautiful person. Never missed hymn sings in the time I was involved. Loved the Lord.

Helen was such a lovely lady. We visited with her often when we were seeing my mother-in-law Evodia Lund. They were such good friends and it was a comfort to know they had each other for so many years. Our sympathy goes out to her family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. God bless.
