Millie Bea Town

On Sunday, January 17, 2016, surrounded by those she deeply loved, Millie Town of Entwistle, Alberta passed away at Drayton Valley Hospital and Care Centre at the age of 60 years. Millie will always be lovingly remembered by her husband of 40 years, Tim; daughter, Brenda (Wade) Welch; son, Andrew; grandchildren, Ian, Mark, Brandy-Marie, Ephram, Lean, Jacob and Miranda; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Aaron; brother, Joe Strickler; sister, Clare (Kent) Asselstine and many extended family. Millie will also be greatly missed by those who had the great fortune of having her as a friend and co-worker. Millie was predeceased by her parents, Beatrice and Lloyd Strickler; daughter, Marie; mother-in-law, Dorothy, as well as several siblings and extended family. A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Moon Lake Community Hall. Tim and family would like to express their appreciation to Drayton Valley Hospital and Care Centre, Holiday Inn, Charity Harris and other family members for everything that was done to ensure that all of Millie’s comforts and requests were considered. For those who wish, memorial contributions in honour of Millie may be made directly to Drayton Valley Health Services Foundation – CT4DV, 4550 Madsen Avenue, Drayton Valley, Alberta T7A 1N8.
