MILLER, Lloyd

It is with great sadness and much love that we say goodbye to Lloyd Miller who passed away on December 10, 2021 at the age of 76.

Lloyd was born in Athabasca in 1945 and was one of 9 children. He grew up working on the farm with his family and then moved away to Edmonton to begin his career in telecommunications. His family life began when he married Rita and was blessed with three daughters. They built their house and farm with loving hands, raising their girls and then continued their adventure with a move to Halifax in 1985. The family grew with the addition of spouses, grandchildren and great-grandchildren over the next 30 years.  Lloyd returned to his roots with a move back to Alberta in 2015. Lloyd was always known for his smiles, laughter, active lifestyle and his enthusiasm for life.

He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Rita, and children: Tracy (Dave), Teri Lynn (Terry), Tammy (Randy). He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren: Brandon (Danielle), Amy, Jonny (Lacey), Matt (Leila), Corina (Alex), Jessica (Ben), Allison, Nicholas and Benjamin and by the great-grandchildren: Makayla, Aria, Ridge, Jayce and Layla. Lloyd is predeceased by his parents’: Damus and Margaret, brothers Fredrick and Glen. His surviving siblings are: Ann (Len), Bud (Pat), Alice (Ed), Doug (Sharon), Don (Louise) and Linda (Lyle). Also mourning his passing are his brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, and all of his friends.
