Survived by his wife Carla; children: Stephen, Katherine, David and John and four grandchildren.

Thank you for the friendship that grew as we drove through the streets of Edmonton. Thank you for the encouragement you gave for my poetry and music. Thank you for the songs you sang and the dances you danced and for being such a great steward of the Ukrainian culture. Thank you for that smile you always wore even when you were hurting inside. I know that someday we will drive together again and I thank you for that too.
