McGILLIVRAY, Claire Noella

Claire Noella McGillivray passed away peacefully on August 16, 2018 at the age of 70 years.

She will be forever loved, remembered, and cherished by her loving family:  husband Dave; children Shaun, Chad, and Amber; as well as many friends and family members who will miss her dearly.

Claire was born in Viking, Alberta in 1948.  Claire was one of seven children: her older sisters Annette, Simone, Madeline, and Marilyn; and her younger brothers Bernard and Noel.  Above all, she loved her family and friends.  Claire enjoyed every opportunity to bring her loved ones together.  Her home was a welcoming warm place for all.  She was a loving mother and a generous friend.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 2:30 pm at Telford House, 4907 – 46 Street, Leduc, AB.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Tertiary Palliative Care, Unit 43, at the Grey Nuns Community Hospital in Claire’s memory would be greatly appreciated.

We are saddened to hear of Claire’s passing. We first meet Claire in Mesa Arizona, when they purchased a home near ours in Palm Gardens. She was truly a wonderful lady and we instantly enjoyed her sense of humour. Truly a wonderful person. When the lord calls our loved ones home, he leaves a gift of memories in exchange. Memories are a legacy of love- God Bless you and your family. Unfortunately we are unable to attend Claire’s service since we are on holidays- Our hearts and prayers are with you at this time. .

I don’t remember very many of my friends parents growing up but Claire was definitely a woman to remember . Her contagious laugh and fantastic sense of humour will always be remembered. She had an open door policy at the house and always made us feel welcome.
