MCDONALD, William “Bill”

MCDONALD, William “Bill”

1949 – 2022

William Ronald McDonald, born in Alexandria Ontario on May 16, 1949, has passed away on March 7, 2022 at the age of 72. It is with heavy hearts that we say good bye and tip our hats one final time to the man who wore many. Bill was a son, a brother, a cousin, a husband, a father an Uncle, a sponsor ,a grandfather to 7 grandchildren,  a pilot and the one he will be most remembered for: a friend. Self educated, Bill took on the world at a young age when he and his future bride, Josephine, took a leap of faith to leave all they knew behind and moved to AB where they proudly started to build a family, their future and friendships on their journey. A private celebration of life will be held at their home at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, a charitable donation in Bill’s name can be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Cancer Society.

Billy was the best friend a guy could want way back when we worked on his uncle’s farm in Glengarry. He was resolute, self-sufficient, a hard worker and he always had my back.
I will never forget Billy, and I will always be indebted to him
for all the help he gave me on the farm. My sincere condolences to his family
