Mary Jene Helen Dufresne


It is with great sadness the family of Mary Jéne Helen Dufresne announces her passing on March 20, 2017 at the age of 86.  Helen will be sadly missed by her husband Mervin, and son Don, his wife Karen and two grandson’s, James and Daniel.  Helen is survived by her sisters Lorraine (Mrs. Eugene) Bazleo and two daughters of Falcon Lake, Manitoba, Isobel Desrosiers of Kenora, Ontario, Edna (Mrs. Frans) Antonnossin of Victoria, British Columbia and her brother Henry Dube of Dryden, Ontario.  She was predecessed by her sister Muriel Jones, and brothers Ben, Lorne, Arthur, and Patrick Dube.

Funeral Service for Helen will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 12:30 pm at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 9654-74 Avenue NW, Edmonton, with Pastor James Fritsche officiating.  Interment will take place at Glenwood Memorial Gardens, 52356 Range Rd 232, Sherwood Park.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at St. Joseph’s Auxiliary Hospital for their kindness, support, and care shown to Helen during her stay there.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Helen’s honour may be made directly to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta or to St. Joseph’s Auxiliary Hospital of Edmonton.
