Mary Isabel Watchuk

WATCHUK, Mary Isabel (nee Thomas)
Born November 15, 1943 Halifax, N.S.
Died July 14, 2013 Spruce Grove, AB
If you are reading this, it’s because I died on Sunday, July 14, surrounded by the most loving family that one could ever wish for. Please do not mourn my death — rather please celebrate my life.
I was an L.P.N. in Calgary, California and Red Deer. Mike and I were married for 41 extraordinary years. We had two remarkable children: Jon (Dinah) Watchuk and Kristi (Jace) Watchuk. I watched them grow into the kind and loving adults they are today. They bestowed Grandmotherhood on me with Michael and Hudson, whom I have been lucky to watch grow. Thank you for every minute.
I treasured the times at Parksville, the Banff Springs Hotel and Victoria. I look forward to reuniting with my parents, in-laws and other departed relatives along with much loved and missed cats and dogs. Please come to the funeral dressed casual and comfortable. Jeans and sweatshirts because that is what I will be wearing. I wasn’t a dress up kind of gal. Mary was predeceased by parents Edward and Isabel and sister Joannie. Mary is survived by husband Mike, son Jon (Dinah), daughter Kristi (Jace), grandsons Michael and Hudson, brothers Greg (Linda) Thomas, Steve (Judy) Thomas and sister-in-law Ger (Larry) Egger along with many adored nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mary loved flowers, if you wish to send flowers they will be passed on to long term care centres. In lieu of flowers, a donation to either Camp He-Ho-Ha or the charity of your choice. Better yet HAVE A BIG MARGARITA FOR HER!
Memorial Mass Monday, July 22, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 200 Boundary Road, Spruce Grove, Alberta.
