On Thursday, March 22, 2018, 8 days before her 94 birthday, Mary Gorman (Tomich) of Edmonton, AB passed away peacefully in her home with her daughter by her side. She will be lovingly remembered by her three children James (Maureen), Elaine (Stephen) and Howard (Angela); three grandchildren Kelly (Doug) Leong, Michelle and Hayley; and two great grandchildren Sean and Keira.  She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years Brian in 2002, and infant daughter Karen.

Mary was born in the Calder area, Edmonton, where she spent her early years. She worked for the Hudson’s Bay Company for a number of years, making many friends there. She lived most of her long life in her Hardisty home, retired from the Federal Government and continued her lasting friendships through her Bridge club association, charity work at Santa’s Anonymous and devoted volunteer work at St.Michael’s Resurrection Parish.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, March 28 at 11:00 am at Resurrection Parish 10555 50A St, Edmonton, with Interment to follow luncheon.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary’s honour may be made to Eldercare Edmonton Society for Adult Day Programs, (www.eldercareedmonton.ca) or to a charity of one’s choice.

Sorry for your loss of Mary. I never Mary or You Elaine. worked many years with Steve over the years. She sounded like a strong women with lots of ups and downs that we all have to deal with as we get older. Hope you remember the good times.
