Mary Anita Tober (MacDonald)

Mary Anita Tober (MacDonald) was born in Antigonish, Nova Scotia on May 10, 1939. Mary moved to Toronto in 1957 and started a family. She then spent 11 years raising her family in Saskatchewan. It was in 1982 that she made her way to Alberta where her children have grown and made lives of their own. In 1989 she made her home in Kamloops, BC where she eventually met her soulmate.

Mom met Charles Spicer at a local dance at the Army & Navy. For 25 years they traveled and joined clubs where they met dear friends. They enjoyed spending time together whether it be looking for friends, reading, or caring for their garden. Above all, mom will be remembered for her laughter, her good advice, and her long phone calls. She is held in the hearts of her siblings, children, and grandchildren, and is predeceased in death by Charlie Spicer.

“Take one million teardrops wrap them up with love then ask the wind to carry them to heaven up above. “

We’ll miss you Mom. Love always, Paula, James, Arden, Kelly, Darcy, Ethan, Susan, Kaitlin, Corry, Ray, Steven, Morgan, Francis, Don, Marion, Marleen, Jim, Betty, and Lynn.

My heart is so broken as we all feel so lost without you . You where so strong our whole lives always moving forward no matter what … we don’t know how to go on with out you . Just such an emptiness and overwhelming sadness. We love you mom so much .

Marleen MacDonald-Hubley

In the world of “make believe” we would have played together, laughed together, grew up together and shared something very special. Mom said, “I want you to meet her. I think you will like her.” It was time well spent and I’m sorry we didn’t have more.
