After graduating from the University of Alberta Peter started his career with the City of Edmonton in various roles within Social Services and then made a career change into Education after completing a two year after degree. Peter then transitioned from teaching into his true passion, a high school guidance counselor at McNally High School where he stayed until his retirement; and long enough to counsel children of the very parents he had helped at the start of his teaching career. Peter also provided counsel to many family and friends throughout his life as he had a gift for listening and a gentle hand in guiding. Outside of work he enjoyed world politics, classical music, theater, movies, playing cards and gardening. Throughout his life along with Joan, Peter traveled extensively seeing many wonders of the world. Peter enjoyed a full, rich and long life. We are all blessed to have known him. Peter, may you rest in peace.
