Marie Berthe-Lise Plamondon

PLAMONDON, Marie Berthe-Lise
May 8, 1948 – January 14, 2015

Paulin (Plamondon) – JMJ – Berthe-Lise Marie of Edmonton, AB, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2015 at the age of 66 years. Marie had cancer of the lung, liver, bone, and brain. Marie is survived by and remembered by her loving family – daughter Valerie (Mike); son Justin; grandchildren: Jaynen, Kara (Brad), Sarah; great-grandchildren: Aurelia, Freya; mother Isabelle; sisters: Claudette, Colette, Micheline; brothers: Daniel (Suzanne), Jean Paul, Claude (Sonia), as well as her nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, and friends.
Marie was predeceased by her father, Gelas Paul, and sisters: Louise, Nicole, and Diane.

Marie was of Roman Catholic faith and was more of a private person who spent a lot of time in prayer, as well as her devotion to the Rosary and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. Marie was also very much devoted to her family in a tireless manner and with such selflessness. She was a very simple person who never asked for much, and when she would receive the simplest of things, she would be so grateful that it was like she was receiving gold.

A full mass will be held at St. Andrew’s Parish, 12810 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton, AB, on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 1:00 pm. Following after mass will be the Divine Mercy Chaplet, and all who attend are welcome to join. The Divine Mercy Chaplet was of great importance to Marie and family. Following the Chaplet, all are welcome to join us at Maureen’s home in helping us continue to celebrate Marie’s life.

We would like to thank Serenity Funeral Service for all they have done and for their compassion.
We would like to thank the North East Palliative Nursing Team and Dr. Barton for all their support and compassionate care.

We would also like to thank all family and friends for their loving support.

My deepest condolences to the family for the lost of a very kind and generous mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, friend … What I remember of Marie is: she was a soft-spoken person with a kind heart and always positive. She had a strong faith which kept her alive until the end. My prayers are with you, Justin and Valerie and the other members of the family Paulin and Plamondon. God bless you all.

I have countless memories with Nana. Shes my second mom! We have laughed, cried, argued and shared the happiest moments of our lives together. She was strict, but in a good way, creative, soft spoken and kind hearted. BUT I will NEVER forget how she was the only one that would encourage my individuality (like how I used to dress, or my weird hairstyles and hair colors). She always believed in me.That means the world to me, especially when I needed it most when I was growing up and at that age where I was trying to make a statement and build my personality. She will FOREVER be in my heart and my actions. <3
