CHAPMAN, Margaret (Peggy)
Mrs. Peggy Chapman was born on September 23, 1922 in Cambridge, England, and passed away at Edmonton, Alberta on October 8, 2013 at the age of 91 years. Peggy was predeceased by her husband Trevor. She is survived by her three sons: John (Joanne), Marty (Joyce) and Dave (Lori); her grandchildren: Jessica (Terry), Colin (Stacy), Athena (Marc) and Keshia; great-grandchildren: Ethan, Sloan, Marisa, and Dominic. She is also survived by her brother, John Doggett (Margaret) of Pulham St. Mary, England.
Peggy was raised in Cambridge, England. In 1946, she married Trevor Chapman after he returned from the war. They moved to East Africa in 1949 where Trevor taught until 1958. They moved to Alberta, and lived in Acadia Valley, Edmonton, and Sedgewick before moving to Innisfail in 1966. During their years in Innisfail, Peggy operated a playschool for a number of years, and was active in St. Mark’s Anglican Church and the Lion’s Club. Peggy suffered with heath issues in recent years, and moved to Edmonton in 2012 to be closer to her family.
A Celebration Of Life will be held for Peggy at St. Mark’s Anglican Church, Innisfail, Alberta on October 25 at 2:00 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to the CNIB (5015 48th Street. #4, Red Deer, AB T4N 1S9) or to St. Marks Anglican Church.
