MAIMANN, Helen Mary (née Grosser)

It is with great sorrow and loss that we announce the passing of our Mom. Helen was born in Kerrobert, Saskatchewan.

Mom leaves to cherish her memory: her sister Justine Mayson (Victor), daughter Candice, two sons Gregg (Sandra) and Brett (Kathleen), nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Mom married Dad (Clarence “Bud”) in May of 1948. They moved to Edmonton and raised four children. Mom was a fantastic baker and enjoyed passing this gift on to some of her grandchildren. Knitting was also something Mom liked doing. Another passion of Mom’s was her beautiful Irish Setters. They were a big part of our family.  Helen was a kind, gentle woman.  Her graciousness was extended to all who met her.

We would like to give special thanks to Mom’s “coffee buddy”, Brenda.  Also, we would like to acknowledge the emergency room staff at the University of Alberta Hospital. We appreciate their caring and compassion.

Mom gently passed away, a few days before her 95th birthday with her daughter at her side.

Helen was predeceased by her husband “Bud”, infant son Rory, daughter Tracey Hart, and granddaughter Avery Hart.

At Mom’s request, our family will have a private celebration of her life.  In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the charity of your choice.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal.

Love leaves a memory no one can steal.
