June 18, 1921 – March 10, 2019
It is with profound sadness that the passing of Lydia Gabert of Fort Saskatchewan is announced. Beloved to many, she leaves to mourn, her children, Joan Gabert; Terry (Faith) Gabert; Roger (Rose) Gabert; and Linda (Leon) Benoit; 11 granchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, sister, Rose Wolshlager; brother, Reinhold (Karen) Radke; nieces, nephews, cousins and their extended families.
She is predeceased by husband, Norman Gabert; infant daughter, Sharon Elaine Gabert; son-in-law, Dave Strachey; brothers, Rudolph and Edward; and sisters, Wanda; Ida; Emma; and Helena.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on March 16, 2019 at Bethany Lutheran Church, 10 miles east of Fort Saskatchewan.
Charitable donations will be gratefully received by Bethany Lutheran Church, Christian Children’s Fund of Canada, Alberta Lung Association, or a charity of choice.
