It is with great sadness and much love that we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother, Nancy Lowe of Devon Alberta. Nancy, 85, is predeceased by her beloved husband Barry, her brother Andy and her mother and father. She was a devoted wife and will be forever remembered by her daughter Natalie, son Selby, grandchildren, Alyssa Zucchet (Tyler) and Kirsten Kooyman (Kevin) and her great- grandchild Scarlett who especially brought joy to her. Her two sisters Susan Bradko and Mary Paltzat and her many nieces and nephews were also very important to her.
Nancy was a life long learner and was a teacher until she moved to Devon in 1988. Her passion for children made her seek out work as a noon supervisor for a school in Devon to continue to enjoy the energy of youth. Her other major passions in life were her love of the Edmonton Oilers and her garden which she grew faithfully most of her life. She would share much of the harvest with neighbours and friends and take some to the Devon United Church thrift store where she volunteered for over 20 years.
In keeping with Nancy’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.
The family thanks the staff of Devon General Hospital for their compassionate care and support through Nancy’s final few months.
