LOOK, Arnold

On Thursday, November 26th, 2020, Arnold Look was received into God’s loving embrace at the age of 88.  He is finally reunited for eternity with Elsie, his treasured wife of 62 years, who preceded him on August 26, 2018.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: Merv (Shirley), Sharon (Hugh), Marilyn (Klaus), Marlene (Christopher), and Brian, as well as eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.  Arnold is also survived by his sister Jean, brother-in-law Ben (Charlotte), along with numerous other relatives and dear friends.  He was predeceased by his parents Robert and Lydia, and brothers Gus and Ed.

Arnold’s strong work ethic, love for his family, and devotion to his Christian faith was evident in everything he did.  He had a long career with A.V. Carlson Construction, retiring after 33 years as Chief Project Superintendent.  He served for many years as an Elder at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, before volunteering alongside Elsie for 13 years as part of the hospital ministry, providing comfort to patients by sharing God’s word.  He enjoyed golf and curling right up until his last couple years; but what Arnold enjoyed most, was spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, where he set an inspiring example of how to be a loving, dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and Christian.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to all those who have compassionately assisted with Arnold’s care in the last year, across community, hospital, and long-term care settings.

Due to Covid-19, a private service will be held for family members only.  To send condolences please visit:  serenity.ca
