LOERZEL, Richard Arnold

It is with great sadness that Richard Arnold Loerzel of Edmonton, Alberta passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021, at the age of 76.

Richard will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by his daughter, Lori Bonner (Dean Bonner); grandchildren, Whitney and Shelby Bonner; brother, Charles; sister, Virginia Syson (Al Syson); niece, Amy Syson; nephews, Miles (Marion) and Jared (Felicia); great-nephews Max and Stark; and numerous friends.

Richard was predeceased by his daughter, Lana; brother, Victor; and parents, Philip and Marie.

Born on October 25, 1944, in Wilkie, Saskatchewan, Richard moved to Edmonton as an adult, where he started a family. He returned to Saskatchewan and spent many years tending to his family’s farm in Handel, Saskatchewan, and eventually retired in Edmonton among his many friends and family. Kind, compassionate, and caring, Richard could always put a smile on someone’s face and bring joy to those who needed it.  He will be remembered for his friendship, humour, and his gentle, loving nature.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
