During the early hours of Wednesday, July 13, 2016, Linda Mattice of Entwistle, Alberta passed away at the Drayton Valley Hospital and Care Centre at the age of 64 years. Linda was a very strong, independent and hardworking woman; spending many years as a cook, and then as a butcher from her home-based business. Over the years, Linda made many strong connections and surrounded herself with warmth and love of family and friends. Linda will always be lovingly remembered by her husband, Robert “Bob”; children, Reg (Carol), Shirley and Bobby (Jenn Chik); grandchildren, Ryan, Dylan, David, Elizabeth, Grace and Ted; brothers, Bill, Perry (Mary Lou), Cameron and Dean (Anne); sister, Donna (Brian) Baumann; half-sisters, Jackie Flanders and Gerry Epp, as well by several extended family and many wonderful friends. Linda was predeceased by her parents, Gordon and Agnes May and half-brother, Gordon May. In honour of Linda, her life will be celebrated at Entwistle Community Hall, 4921 51 Street, Entwistle, Alberta on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. The Mattice family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Gossmann of Claro Family Practice, Drayton Valley and the staff at Evansburg Health Centre for the wonderful care provided to Linda during her illness.
