I’m so sorry to hear of Lilian’s passing. She is a beautiful, extraordinary woman. Love from us all over here, in Ontario. Your dad surely grabbed hold of her. From Dolly’s kids and grandkids. They adored you all. xx

Her beauty did not fade through the years – a clear manifestation of the love of Jesus and the light that shone in her life. We have had the pleasure to share Lilian’s joyous outlook in life when she sang Christmas carols with us during our church’s caroling at the senior’s facility in Millwoods, and when we celebrated her birthday at the Grandview facility. We will always be reminded of her sweet lilting voice and charming accent when she read Scriptures and narratives during our worship services at Ambleside Baptist Church. Thank you, Lilian, for blessing us with your life! You entered heaven’s gates with Billy Graham, but no one would have been more thrilled than Pastor Ken.

Such a dear lady. Love this picture of Lilian. She looks like Donna Reed. Lilian had such sparkling eyes and a sweet demeanour when talking about her husband Ken. Nancy, Jim and I went to lunch after a church service and that’s where I saw her really engage in a sweet conversation with Jim on their different times in Africa. Ken and Jim also enjoyed conversations. I’m filled with joy for Lilian to be in Heaven with loved ones.

For a number of years I picked up Lilian for church. As we travelled along the Whitemud, I would ask her questions about her remarkable life. She told me stories of hardship, courage, joy, and wonder – always with her faith in Jesus Christ woven throughout. A constant theme was her obvious love for Ken and her family. Those times with Lilian blessed me greatly. I feel honored to have had her as a friend.

Even when we just sat quietly together in the sunshine, enjoying the breeze ripping through the leaves, and the radiant flowers that sparkled all around us, it was always a joy to be with Lilian. Lilian was truly a gift that God blessed me with and I will cherish the memories forever.
