I first came to know Pastor Lenk as a child growing up in Michigan. I remember him best from the camp meetings in Flint, Michigan. He was often the evangelist in the evening service, and his sermons and style of preaching could move even the hardest of hearts! Often, between services, some of the pastors and others who felt they were well versed in Bible memory verses, would gather outside and someone would recite a Bible verse and the participants would have to name the scripture. Pastor Lenk was amazing. No matter what the verse, he knew where to find it in the Bible. A few years ago, on New Year’s Eve in our church here in Edmonton, in his testimony he recited a long Bible passage. I was concerned his memory might fail him, but it didn’t! Whenever I met him at church or at our church’s Shepherd’s Care service, he was always friendly and encouraging. A man of God has gone home. May God comfort you.
