-

On Sunday, May 11, 2014, Larry Polachuk of Spruce Grove, Alberta, passed away suddenly at the age of 73 years. Larry is survived by his loving wife Hope; son Kevin (Nicole), step-daughter Heather (Craig), step-son Stephen, mother Mary Fedorovich, and numerous other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his first wife, Susan and his daughter Leanne.

Larry was a long-time resident of Spruce Grove and prominent member within the community; he was a life-member with the Kinsmen Club of Spruce Grove. In his earlier days, Larry grew up and worked around the Edson area. From there, he became a gold miner in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, where he met his first wife, Susan. In the late 1960’s, Larry and Susan settled in Spruce Grove to raise a family. Larry was a long-time employee of the City of Spruce Grove and officially retired in 1995. To keep busy, he began a small courier company. After the passing of Susan in 2012, he took time to see the Canadian countryside and visit his son stationed in Kingston, ON. During this time, Larry was blessed with meeting his second wife, Hope. They were recently married and planned to spend time seeing the world.

Larry touched so many lives; he will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends.
