I am stunned to learn of the passing of my dear friend “Cec”. He was a mentor, a confidant and a beloved friend. My career took me away from Edmonton but I often thought of Bernice and him and the laughter we shared. I always teased him that he should return to Wembley to be the “Mayor Emeritus” and keep up the family tradition of running the post office. In truth he was a man of integrity, ethic and he always had my total unwavering respect. We worked together and lunch was a weekly affair even after I moved on to other cities and other employment. We shared tears when Dawn was sick and the faith that she would get better. A man could not ask for a better friend and I regret not keeping in touch over the years. Rest in peace dear Cec until we meet again.
