LAUGHREN, Donald Patrick

1939 – 2022

It is with great sadness the family of Donald Laughren announces his passing on October 17, 2022 at the age of 83.

Don was born in Rosetown, Saskatchewan, he was raised in the rolling hills of Stranraer, which he loved. Don was a true gentleman, with a kind heart and a wonderful sense of humor. Don loved his time at the lake, he could often be found out fishing, heading to the clubhouse for a round of golf or enjoying a visit with the many friends and family who stopped in. The things that Don treasured most were family, friends, a good laugh and time spent together, he will be missed by many.

Don is survived by his wife of 62 1/2 years Pauline, daughter Lavonne (Kevin), granddaughter Kennedy and many other family members.

He was predeceased by his parents Bill and Eva, sisters Shirley and Pat, and twin brother Ron.

At Don’s request no service will be held.

Hi Pauline. My most vivid of Don (and you and the rest of the Laughren family) was at Buffalo Lake reunion in 2006. The picture I have attached tells it all; it was non stop laughter. Our mother spoke of you and Don and Ron often, always with a laugh or smile. I know that Don will be sorely missed. All the best.

Pauline, I am very sorry to hear of Don’s passing. Always enjoyed getting together with you and Don at the various Laughren Reunion’s, both large and small. And I have uploaded a couple photos of our get together at your condo in Edmonton 3 YRS ago. Somehow, we stayed longer than our schedule allowed that day! Hope Pat and I can make it to Edmonton again for another ‘quick’ visit with you Pauline.
Our condolences, Pauline. Don was certainly an enjoyable cousin of my mom’s, Audrey Rystrom (Herman),

Our thoughts are with you at this time. We will always treasure the time Don took us fishing with Grampa. Our boys were so proud to show off their first catch. Memories we will have forever.
