It is with broken hearts and [loving] memories that we announce the death of a beautiful mother, wife, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend, Persidra Castro Laudenorio. Known to many as “Inday, Nang Inday, Persi, Ma’am Persi,” Persidra, 77 years young, peacefully passed away at her home with family members by her side on Saturday, April 2, 2022.
Persidra is survived by her children Abner (Kristina), Emerito Jr., Joy Marie (Noel) and Fr. Jose Roy Allan and grandchildren Naomi Therese, Josephine Mariel, Nathaniel Emerito and Kristian Alexander. She was predeceased by her husband, Emerito Sr.; daughter, Anne Marie; parents, Perpetuo and Isidra; sister, Desideria, and brother Sidronio. Persidra always had her family’s best interest at heart. She will be remembered with profound appreciation by her family, relatives, friends and colleagues for her Christian faith, loyalty, integrity and passion for life.
The Laudenorio family expresses their gratitude to Dr. Thomas Ranieri; the ALS medical team lead by Dr. Wendy Johnston; Mr. Jesse Vander Meulen; the Bayshore Home care staff namely Nazret, Diana, Myra, Miriam and Daisy; the ALS Society of Alberta, and for their compassionate care of Persi.
On Friday, April 8, 2022, a public visitation from 4:00 – 5:30 pm followed by a Mass at 5:30 pm for the repose of the soul of Persidra will take place at St. Albert Catholic Parish, 7 St. Vital Avenue, St. Albert, Alberta, Canada. Masks are required for visitation and Mass.
Funeral Mass will take place at Christ the King Cathedral, City of Koronadal, South Cotabato, Philippines at 9:00 am on Thursday, April 21, 2022. The Rite of Christian Burial will follow at Golden Valley Memorial Home.
