LAPPIN, Comrie

Comrie Lappin 1929-2021 passed into the presence of his Lord on June 12, 2021. Comrie was born on May 27, 1929 in Edmonton, the only child of Hugh and Louisa Lappin. Though he had no siblings, his cousins Quentin, Margaret, Shirley and Elaine were always close to his heart.

Comrie was above all a family man, deeply devoted to his wife Eleanor. They married on May 30,1950, and this past year celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. Eleanor passed away just a few months later.

Comrie spent most of his working career with Woodward’s, was an avid reader and especially enjoyed time spent with family. He was a man of great generosity, giving of his time, wisdom and resources to friends, family, church, missions and community alike.

His deep abiding faith in God enabled him to serve for more than 60 years as a gifted Bible teacher in his church.

Comrie is remembered with love by his daughters Brenda Lappin, Adele Pierre (Stephen), and Cheryl Leverette (James-deceased); his son Barry Lappin (Connie); his grandchildren Jeremy Pierre (Jayoung), Justin Pierre (Abigail), Stephanie Fehr (Scott), Nathan Leverette (Alise), Kent Lappin (Denae) and his 6 great-grandchildren.
