Tragedy struck the Laidlaw family on Wednesday July 17th, 2019 when beloved husband, son and brother Daemon Laidlaw, 44, was killed instantly when his semi truck flipped just west of Edson, AB.
Daemon lived with his loving wife Christiane Laidlaw and their cats in Spruce Grove, AB. Daemon is survived by his mother Carol Murfin, his father Bruce Laidlaw and his sisters Callie Finley and Alicia Laidlaw. He has a large and loving extended family as well. Daemon grew up in Pincher Creek, AB. He was well known for his unique sense of humor, his ability to make people laugh and his passions; mainly his wife, his family, trucking and airplanes. I think we all know a little (or a lot!) more about airplanes just having known him.
There will be two Memorial services for Daemon (how could we contain him to just one?). The first will be at 2 p.m., August 17th, 2019 at Serenity Funeral Service, 600 Calahoo Road, Spruce Grove Alberta. The second will be in Okotoks Alberta on August 31st at 2 p.m.
The family requests no flowers please, donations are welcomed but not necessary. We have set up a contact email for sharing stories and pictures of Daemon or if you have any questions you may also send them to [email protected] Please bring your favorite Daemon stories to the events so that we might share, laugh and celebrate this wonderful man.
