It is with great sadness but with feelings of peace, comfort and love that we say goodbye to our beloved
husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Laddie Arthur Scharfenberg passed away after a courageous battle with Alzheimers on January 17th at the age of 87 years.

Survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Verna; daughters Sandy Hanley (Bill), Sheila Quist; daughter-in-law Lorna; grandchildren Alayna (Tyllor), Jenessa (Kosi), Brian (Ashley), Michelle, Clifford (Pam), and Ian (Salena);
great grandchildren Carson, Violet, Tiana, Melyne, Zane, Seth, Kalob and Isabelle.
Also survived by four brothers Eric, John, Jim and Kerry, and four sisters Hilda, Helga, Marlene and Ingrid.

Predeceased by his son Murray; parents Hugo and Alma; brothers Henry, Bruno, Witold, Kenny and Edward.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Ascension Lutheran Church, 8405-83 St. Edmonton.

A heartfelt thank you to the staff of St. Joseph’s Aux. Hospital for their loving, compassionate care over the past four years, and especially during Laddie’s final days.
