KUEGLER, Alistair Clive

Alistair passed away peacefully on July 5, 2022 after valiantly fighting stage IV cancer for almost 2 years, with his dear wife Judith constantly at his side caring for him and advocating on his behalf.

He leaves behind: his beloved wife and soul-mate Judith; step-sons Elliot and Evan; mother, Grace; father, Clive; Siblings: Philippa and John, his nephew and nieces, and many wonderful friends.

Alistair was an engineering consultant. He spent his childhood and youth living in the U.K, Papua New Guinea, and Germany/Switzerland. He studied at the University of Manitoba.

He loved the outdoors, adventure, and travel and while he was a man of several countries, cultures, and languages, it would be fair to say that he still saw his true home as the Island of New Guinea.

There will be a service in celebration of his life Jul 16, 2022 10:00 AM Mountain Time (US and Canada) at

Tribute wall - a place to share your memories and condolences

Neville and Joyce Bartle

We are missionary family friends from PNG. Alistair started school at Banz in PNG the same day as our eldest daughter Kathryn. We have many happy memories of our children playing together. You have all been much in our thoughts and prayers, and we continue to pray for God’s comfort peace, strength and direction in the coming days, weeks and months.

Carol Anne Eby

I only knew Alistair as a young child. We lived next door to each other in Papua New Guinea serving with his parents as missionaries. Our children were playmates and enjoyed many play dates together. Alistair was a lovely child and this American “Auntie” taught him to drink iced tea much to his mother’s chagrin! I wish I had known him in later years and my heart goes out to the family and my deepest sympathies to Judith and the boys.

Mark Patton

You were a great friend and I will miss you. I have so many happy memories of our childhood in PNG.
