Harold Walter Kruger of White Rock, BC, formerly of Telfordville and Leduc, Alberta, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday June 13, 2021. Harold was born on February 27th, 1931, the youngest son of Wilhelm and Amelia Kruger of Telfordville. Dad fondly remembered his early years growing up on the family farm in a close-knit family raised with love, dedication, resilience, and faith. He leaves a lasting and rich legacy in how he continued to sow the seeds of faith, hope and love in all of our hearts. We all feel a tremendous sense of respect, love, and gratitude to our Dad and Grandfather for his love and support throughout our lives, and we will miss his dimpled smile, heart-felt hugs, and his amazing ability to make you feel welcomed and special. Anyone who knew Dad knew the extent to which he loved and cherished his relationship with Mom, and we feel blessed to have had such a wonderful example of a true and loving partnership. In his final days Dad spoke about having “lived a good life”, knowing that he was well-loved, and his belief and faith that we would see him again in his heavenly home.
Harold is survived by his loving wife and true life partner, Mary (Wood) of White Rock, BC; his son Dwayne (Lisa) of Saltcoats, Saskatchewan; his daughter, Laurie (David) Cender of White Rock, BC; grandchildren Kylie (Zachary), Tessica (Logan), Marisa, Noah, Paxtyn, and Emelia; and great-grandchildren Sophia, Millie, Benjamin, Raelle, and Louis. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law Ed Felske of Onoway, and Bill (Ruth) Wood of Calgary.
Harold was predeceased by his parents; his sisters, Mary Hubscher, Sally Forster, Esther Felske, and Gertrude Kruger (in infancy); and his two brothers, Robert and Gustav Kruger.
The family will be holding a private service followed by interment at Telfordville cemetery on July 3rd.
