KOSTINIUK, Kate

Our beloved Kate passed away peacefully on June 17, 2020 with her niece Lara by her side.  Kate is survived by her sister Cecilia Cherniwchan, brother-in-law Jack Hawrelak, brother Harry (Marlene) Bidniak, sister Judy (Larry) Ruppell, sister-in-law, Anne Kostiniuk, and brother-in-law Bill Mekechuk.

She also leaves numerous nieces and nephews who were very special to her.  Kate had a love of dogs and sadly, had to find a new home for her last dog Benji, a year ago.  Kate was our family’s favourite Aunty, beloved sister, and friend.

Kate was predeceased by her parents John and Elizabeth Bidniak, her daughter Kerry, her son Barry, and her husband George.  She was also predeceased by her brothers-in-law Alexander Repka and Willie Cherniwchan, brother George, sister-in-law Jean, sister Marie Hawrelak, and sister Sonia and brother-in-law Brian Coleman.  We pray Kate is now in the arms of her own beloved family.

We would like to extend our gratitude for the care given to Kate by Dr. Bakshi and the staff in Unit G34 at the Royal Alexandra Hospital.

Cremation has taken place and there will be a private graveside service at a later date.

We love you so much and will miss you forever.

In lieu of flowers, we are asking that donations be made to the SPCA.
