It is with a deep sense of loss and much love that we announce the passing of our extraordinary mother, grandmother & great-grandmother, Rebecca Knoepfli who passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at the age of 87.
Rebecca (Becky) will be remembered for her angelic singing voice along with many other talents, interests & hobbies. Among Becky’s greatest attributes was her love for people & her unmatched hospitality. Becky was passionately devoted to her faith, her family, and to building relationships with every individual she met along her journey. Strangers & friends alike were enthusiastically welcome at Becky’s kitchen table, where she served unlimited coffee, cookies & kindness.
Following your 3rd cup of coffee & multiple homemade sweets – you can be sure that on your way out of Becky’s kitchen, you were gifted with a care package of goodies from this thoughtful little lady with the big heart & contagious smile. It was accompanied with a kiss, a hug & a genuine “come again” invite!
Fond & lasting memories of Allan & Becky are treasured in the hearts of hundreds. Together they were that loving & loyal, dependable & caring couple, just a few miles down the dusty Deer Hill road, but always worth the trip!
Becky is lovingly remembered & adored by her three sons: Ken (Laurena), Jim (Blair) & David (Jodica), her grandchildren: Lisa (Etienne), Justin, Matthew, Averee (Shuval), Zak, Kyeler, & her great granddaughter, Anastasia. Becky also leaves to mourn her older brother, Jim (Nancy) and her younger brother, John, as well as many nieces & nephews and numerous individuals who considered Becky as their 2nd mom, their confidant, their role-model, or their go-to encourager.
Rebecca was predeceased by her soulmate & husband, Allan in January, 2010, and two of their sons: Tommy in 1967 and Johnny in 1982. Becky was also pre-deceased by siblings: Wayne, Betty Jane, Francis, Clifford, Lillian, Marion, Roy & Dorothy.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the committed 5AB unit team who provided such compassionate care for Becky in her 5 years at the Edmonton General Care Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Rebecca Knoepfli’s honour may be made directly to David Thompson Bible Camp – the very place Allan and Becky met & fell in love.
Everyone is welcome to join the family for A Celebration of Life service, starting at 1 pm, at the David Thompson Hall: 20 km/15 minutes North of Fairview, AB on Saturday March 18, 2023, with a luncheon to follow.

We were Allen and Becky’s neighbours in the the Eighties and I can attest to the fact that Becky was loving and gracious neighbour. Even when you stoped before some other reason you would be invited for coffee and of course a special treat. Even though the planned stop was only five minutes it could easily end up being an hour or more but you always you always left feeling blessed and loved.
Ken’s , Jim’s, and David’s, Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you go through time of loss.
We blessed to have Allen and Beckey as neighbours for ten years

Becky’s singing voice will always be in my head and heart, doing O Canada for Hines Creek Figure Skating, it was a blessing to hear. I wished she could have been able to go to the Kurt Browning event that just happened in HC. She was a wonderful woman and great mother. Condolences to the families from Teresa and mother Lena.
