It is with immense heartbreak that we announce the sudden passing of Kevin Wilfred Goerz of Tomahawk, Alberta on Friday, May 13, 2016 at the age of 52 years. Kevin was incredibly devoted to his family and took great pride in the love he provided to his wife, children and grandchildren. When not with his family, Kevin spent his time working on the farm, in the shop as a mechanic, playing baseball and with his Parkland County Battalion 6 family, serving his community for many years as Chief. Kevin will be greatly missed, forever loved and always remembered by his wife, Christine; children, Christy (Tyler Bobryk), Chantel (Alex Pischke) and Brent (Chantel Harris); grandchildren, Brooke and Gracin; parents, Wilfred and Joyce; brother, Perry (Diane); sister, Sherry (Leonard) Symes; father-in-law, Jack Worden; brother-in-law, Jack (Tracey) Worden and sister-in-law, Shanna (Jason) Torok, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends. Kevin was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Marilyn Worden. Christine and her children are extremely thankful to Battalion 6 and Jordan Anderson for all of their efforts and assistance. Beginning at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 20, 2016, there will be a Fire Service Parade starting at the Tomahawk Fire Hall leading to the Tomahawk and District Agra Centre, Hwy. 759, Tomahawk, Alberta, where a Service of Remembrance will be held, commencing at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Mark Hennig and Chaplain John Dowds officiating.
